Using "Send To" for easy access to useful actions

1 January 2000 by Snakefoot | Comment » | Trackback Off
When right-clicking a file or folder in Windows Explorer, then the context-menu shows a "Send To"-option, which lists shortcuts to common actions that can take a file or folder as input.

It is easy to modify the shortcuts listed in "Send To", one just have to press Start... and Run... this command:

shell:sendto

It will open the "Send To"-folder for the current user, allowing one to add or remove shortcuts. More Info Access special folders easily using the shell command.

Ideas for good shortcuts:
  • Favorite text-editor (ex. Notepad).
  • Favorite folders (Ex. Desktop, My Documents and other Special Folders).
  • Scripts or batch files that can take file/folder as parameter.
