    XP SP3

    AMD CPU

In BIOS, wake up with USB device is enabled. Both USB keyboard and mouse are enabled.

However, in device manager, there is Power Management tab for the USB mouses. Pressing it has no effect when the machine is in standby.

    Any way to fix it?

Don’t know if there are multiple USB controllers on your motherboard, but you could try switching between the different USB ports. If that fails, then I would go to the forum of the manufacture of the motherboard/computer and see if there are others with the same problem. Does the mouse still get power from the USB port, when in standby ?
