I’m a novice when it comes to computer knowledge, and I’m following the tweaking services guide for my laptop with xp, and I want to match the recommendations given by the guide (Just so I can make my laptop perform better). But I don’t have the options of ‘Manual(care)’, ‘Manual(lock)’, ‘Automatic’, etc. as seen in the guide for each service’s Startup Type. I’ve searched everywhere and I just have the options to either ‘Stop’ or ‘Restart’ a service that has a status of ‘Started’. Can someone enlighten me on this? This may be a retarded question, but ‘Stop’ping a service is the same as ‘Disable’ing it as seen in the guide, right?? Also, how do I change a service’s Startup Type to match those recommended in the guide(Disabled, Manual, Automatic)?? I can’t seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance for the help.
