Have you tried to contact GeekSquad about getting the Vista installation disk ?

You can try to press F8 during computer startup. Maybe GeekSquad have made a recovery partition, so you can get access to Recovery Console or similar.

I have a problem with a Dell Dimension with a Pentium 4. Some guy formatted the hard drive removing both partitions. When I try to reinstall XP using a new Dell XP reinstallation disc I get the drive manager missing error. I tried booting up to the internal DVD drive then an external CD drive. I also tried a new Windows XP disc. It appears to be reading the discs but will not install Windows XP. It just keeps saying boot manager missing press control alt delete to restart. Could the hard drive be bad? I don’t have another hard drive to try. J.R.

Instead of high jacking other forum-threads, then you should create your own :)

When trying to boot from the DVD, then you need to check your motherboard BIOS whether it is configured to boot from the DVD drive.

I really don’t understand this… why people don’t understand some basic things about ‘not hijacking the threads’ started by other user.

Worst to worst, they don’t want to follow/read what’s going on in the current running thread.

Snakefoot! Do you know, why is it so?

I guess it might be because of pre-occupied with the problems and tired of searching from one forum to other, so quickly want to get rid of that.

    I hope I haven’t hijacked this thread. lol ;)
