Microsoft support tools and resource kits

Microsoft provides several small and useful utilities for monitoring and configuring the Microsoft Windows operating system. Microsoft usually release these utilities in packages called Support Tools or Resource Kits.

I noticed your link to the XP resource kit goes to that nifty “Verify Your Copy of Windows” page. A more direct route if anyone cares:

I have noticed that Microsoft have “forced” one to “verify” the installed copy of Windows, though I’m a little worried that Microsoft over time will “disable” any direct links that bypasses the verification. (Though right now your link works like a charm).
