The file copy functionality in Windows Explorer lacks several things, especially when it comes to file copying over a local area network (LAN) using a wireless connection:
- Pause / Resume of file copy
- Resume after power failure or connection failure
- Speed limit that allows one to throttle the transfer rate
- Display the actual transfer rate during the file copy
